Why choose the name, Organizational Fitness Resources?
Organizational Fitness has been defined as how well the systems, structure, people, and culture of an organization support each other and the realization of the firms business strategy.
In creating and defining this organization, Bob drew on his own personal experiences in and around organizations, people, and fitness. For over twenty years, Bob has lived a simple philosophy: The more physically fit I am, the more mentally, emotionally, and spiritually fit I am. Balance is the key! In many parts of the world today, people are not living healthy lives. Stress, fatigue, poor eating habits, and lack of physical exercise have caused many people to not be in very good shape. Many of us work in corporate settings where work and productivity demands are extremely high, leaving little time or energy left for our own health. We are living in a time when more and more is known about what we "should" be doing, however often times this knowledge either falls on deaf ears or people use their "busyness", fatigue, or other excuses for not changing. If organizations are made up of people, and the people within the organizations are suffering from the symptoms of poor fitness, what impact does that have on the organization? My goal in creating this business was to create and model balance and fitness in my own life. I will be looking to work with clients who are wanting to do the same.
